Subluxations occur when a vertebrae becomes misaligned. The cause of subluxations range from minor slips or falls all the way trauma caused from car accidents or sports-related injuries. When a vertebrae is out of its normal position, it begins to put pressure on nerves, blood vessels and everything around it. This pressure interrupts natural pathways that the brain uses deliver clear and direct messages.
Degeneration of the spine and surrounding areas occurs if subluxation is left untreated. As the body settles into this misalignment, surrounding muscles, nerves, and bones begin to adjust to the new shape. The longer subluxation is left untreated, the harder is it to reverse and get back to healthy position.
